Hi my friend told me before this movie I say thank you for visiting my blog. enjoy and hopefully useful………….!
Villa Kamboja Seminyak one of the best Bali Rental Villas
Where is Villa Kamboja
Villa Kamboja is a wonderful five bedroom Bali rental villa just outside Seminyak in Batu Belig. It is about 40 minutes from the airport, and you are met by a chauffeur in a large airconditioned vehicle, and the car plus chauffeur are at your disposal throughout your stay. You have to pay for the fuel, and there is a daily rate, but what a fantastic start to a vacation.
You can walk down to the beach, but it wasn't really attractive enough to want to go back, so we were perfectly happy with where we were. They are building more villas right next door, and this may disturb the peace and tranquility a bit, but Villa Kamboja otherwise looks out over Rice Paddy fields.
What is Villa Kamboja Like?
Arriving in the dark in our chauffered
vehicle the first sensation was confusion, as the driver pulled into a corrugated iron roofed shack which turned out to be the garage, and also where the staff lived.
Then we were impressed as the staff all lined up to greet us, the villa manager, chef, gardener, and the maids.
We weren't allowed to touch our bags, and we were then shown the gate which took us into the villa itself.
First impressions will live withy us forever. With buildings on all four sides, a floodlit pool in the centre, and at the far end the sitting room, and dining area were all wide open and lit up so the effect was spectacular.
A BBQ was on the go, and it took us about two minutes to undress and swim.
The design of the villa had two bedrooms in a separate bungalow on the left, and the other bedrooms upstairs on the right, where there was two huge balconies, and a huge indoor bar/sitting room, which we never used.
Downstairs apart from a well equipped kitchen, dining
sitting room, there was a separate TV room which was a refuge from the heat and humidity on occasions.
The pool was a jolly good size, and at the end opposite the dining area was a room laid out like a hall reception area with beautiful furniture, then in one corner a bale, which is a large open on all four sides sitting area, where the ladies had massages regularly. In the other corner was a jacuzzi hidden behind luscious green foliage. It was to my initial disgust cold, but very refreshing!
How much did our Bali Rental Villa Cost?
It needn't cost as much as you think!!
I would recommend three places to look
Find the best deal, compare prices, and read what other travelers have to say about Bali Rental Villas in Seminyak at TripAdvisor
If you insist on Staying in a Hotel you'll find the best prices HERE
Last year for the first time on vacation we rented a villa in Bali. Cheap Villas were what we looked for, but we found nothing, but what we did find was negotiation over the price was possible.
The first thing to say that there is no cheap Bali rental Villas that we could see that we liked.
Villa Kamboja was far above our expectations.
The price we negotiated was around USD425 per day.
Readers might blink at the price, but as a family of four who need two bedrooms in a resort, then with what a villa gives you there is no comparison.
Included in this price came a staff of five at our beck and call, including a chef. When you consider that the chef did the shopping, and that worked out at less than £40 for our food, and drink, including ample beers, breakfast lunch and dinner, you may begin to realise why a Bali resort villa is such good value for money.
Ambience at Villa Kamboja.
The lifestyle took a day or two to get accustomed to, because we were waited on literally hand and foot.
The whole service element was incredible, and I feel it is better in the Far East than anywhere else.
The sun beds and the sitting out area at the end of the pool were well used. In fact we began quickly to feel like the owners it was so comfortable. There were unlimited clean towels, and the staff were almost invisible, but appeared as if by magic when they were needed.
Food at Villa Kamboja
Breakfast was eggs and bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, and coffee or tea. It took a day or so before the lady of the house stopped taking her dishes into the kitchen, and allowed the staff to clear up.
The chef then came and told us what we were short of, and asked if we required lunch and dinner, and what did we want. His skills were just fantastic, and the food he cooked superb.
It was magic to have the shopping done, and so cheap when you consider what you would spend in a hotel for mass cooked food.
What is there to do in a Bali Rental Villa?
It appears that most rental villas come with a driver and a vehicle, but you do need to make proper use. By this I mean, there is a daily rate for the vehicle plus fuel, so it is better to take one of the plentiful taxis when you want to go out to eat in Seminyak, because even a twenty minute trip in the hire vehicle counts as a full day.
Our chauffeur was magic, and there is so much to see and do, and he took us all over the island, and with his local knowledge we visted art galleries, jewellery making factories, Ubud, and we ate lunch out a good deal, and had some great inexpensive meals.
Bali is a lovely island, and is recovering from the bombings, and we never felt uncomfortable anywhere except perhaps with the monkeys at one of the Hindu temples!!
Weather in Bali
I can only speak for when we were there which was over Easter. It rained without fail every day at around tea time, and there were some spectacular thunderstorms.
The volume of rain is incredible, and what a joy to swim in the pool during the heavy rain, which also reoccurred some times later in the evening.
All the rest of the time it was hot and humid, so swimming in the floodlit pool late in the evning was like entering a warm bath.
Conclusions
I cannot recommend Villa Kamboja enough. Everything from the cost to the service we received was perfect, and the company Bali Villa Worldwide[all one word dot com] was superb. A Bali Rental Villa is something to experience at least once in your life
